Orla Kiely gets on her bike

Irish fashion designer Orla Kiely has launched an exclusive range for cycling and motoring retailer Halfords.

The new Olive and Orange by Orla Kiely range for Halfords is a 33-piece collection which includes printed hybrid bikes and cycle accessories, as well as patterned tents.

Orla Kiely said: “I developed the prints for the new Olive and Orange collection as a natural fit for cycling and outdoors. They’re organic and inspired by nature, with a sixties-style heritage in beautiful summer shades.

“That said, this range is all about modern summer living, whether it’s cycling round town on one of the print bikes, or taking one of the cool and eye-catching tents to a festival.”

Emma Fox, commercial director for Halfords, added: “We’re thrilled to offer this range featuring custom-designed prints from such an iconic designer. The contemporary collection is a great way to add designer style to your summer.”

The Dutch-style hybrid bikes come in five colourways, with stem and olive prints in green. The bikes can be accessorised with matching Olive and Orange by Orla Kiely bike helmets, basket liners, pannier bags, saddles, bike bells, Hamax child seats, water bottles and saddle covers – which all use different colourways of the stem and olive prints.

There is also an Olive and Orange by Orla Kiely two- person tent and four-person dome tent, plus sleeping bags, a picnic rug and a coolbag.

Named after Orla’s family labradoodle dog Olive, the Olive and Orange range launches exclusively in Halfords’ branches and online in May.

Halfords’ customers shop at 465 stores in the UK and Republic of Ireland and at halfords.com.
