Former Red Rose Cookware national sales manager Nigel Carter has joined Imperial.
He takes up the newly-created position of commercial sales manager.
Carter brings with him over 20 years’ experience of the catering sector, and will be responsible for handling the sales and operations for Imperial’s commercial, catering and hospitality sectors.
He worked with Red Rose Cookware until it ceased trading last month. Before that he had spent six years as commercial sales manager and national field sales manager with Addis, when he was responsible for building the sales of the Addis commercial division to over £5m.
Carter held several senior sales roles prior to this within the catering and commercial sectors, including 10 years as head of Oneida’s catering division.
Commenting on the appointment, Imperial’s commercial director John Newcomb said Carter was the “perfect person to fill the new role of commercial sales manager. With Nigel’s expertise, Imperial is now looking forward to expanding into the catering, hospitality and professional markets, which we believe offer tremendous potential for our strong portfolio of brands.”
