The new man in charge of the Kitchen & Dining sectors at Spring Fair International and Autumn Fair International says he is making customer care his priority.
As revealed earlier this month on HousewaresLive.net, Rob Lozowski has been appointed event director of the two shows, replacing Roz McGuinness, who has moved to a new role outside the housewares industry.
Lozowski, a former England rugby union international with 20 years’ events experience, promised: “I’m going to get out into the marketplace to meet our customers, listen to what they say and implement as many of their requirements as possible.
“I believe that we already have a superb Kitchen & Dining offer at both shows, but there’s always room for improvement.
“Customer care is my priority,” he stressed. “I’m determined that our exhibitors receive the best possible return on their investment in Spring Fair and Autumn Fair – and that they get back not only what they expect in the shape of orders, but more. I’m delighted to be moving into such a vibrant area.”
Lozowski joined Emap Connect – now i2i Events Group – three years ago, where he was the event director for construction exhibitions. He previously worked for United Business Media and headed up property-based shows. In another life he played rugby union for England and Wasps.
But as the man in charge of Kitchen & Dining at the major shows, can he do more than boil an egg?
“Yes, I can, and I enjoy doing it,” he said. “My mother is Italian and has been cooking for me for the past 50 years. She’s still going strong at the age of 95 and makes her own pasta. She lives in the kitchen, so I understand what it’s all about.
“But, thanks to our imaginative exhibitors, the products being offered by exhibitors makes the joy of cooking so much easier: the kitchen has been completely revolutionised.”
