New HQ and website for Eddingtons

Eddingtons is about to enter a fresh phase in its development, with a major investment in a new headquarters, new packaging and a new website.

“We’ve been undergoing a lot of change, and increased in size quite rapidly, so we’ve had to look for new premises,” the company’s Sonia Spencer explained to housewareslive.net. “We’re renting an old barn which we’ve had converted to our own specifications, just down the road in Hungerford. That will house the offices and the warehouse, and the facilities in the warehouse are all the latest technologies.”

She said the move was due to take place in two weeks’ time. The new address will be The Reid Building, New Hayward Farm, Hungerford, Berkshire RG17 0PZ, with phone and fax numbers remaining the same at 01488 686572 and 01488 686941 respectively.

At the same time, the company is updating its image, modernising its logo and giving all packaging a new design. And a new website is set for launch later in the year.

Spencer went on: “We’ll be able to accept orders online, full product information will be available for download and there’ll be a fast-track ordering facility whereby customers can pull up their favourites. They’ll be able to download high and low-res images and full information with regards to any mail order requirements, and there’ll also be promotional videos available to download. We’ll also have a password access system so none of our trade prices will be viewable by end users.

“We felt we needed to push our online facilities,” she went on, “and we believe we’re the first company in housewares to have all these facilities online for our customers. It’s a huge investment for us.”

The website will be ready for launch at the Autumn Fair.
