A new consumer transactional website has been launched, with the aim of being the biggest online-only specialist source of cookware and kitchenware.
Movecookshop.co.uk says it offers only the most respected brands in their field, especially those with a heritage or strong design ethos. Suppliers to the site include Meyer Group with Circulon and Anolon ranges, Brabantia and Forma House with Guzzini.
The website promises same-day despatch and the option of next-day delivery, which it says is proving a popular choice.
The company behind the site is Move Online Retail, whose new projects manager Kate Vlietstra told HousewaresLive.net: “We started out in dancewear. We have a sister offline business of a small chain of dance shops in Manchester, and we wanted to build something online. The dancewear site went live in January 2007 and has been growing rapidly ever since.
“We were looking for places to expand into, and wanted to find another category that people loved as a hobby, and there isn’t a household name in online cookware. So that’s what we want to become – the biggest online-only brand of cookware specialists.”
The company says its philosophy for movecookshop.co.uk is to offer innovative cookware from premium ranges and a selection that surpasses those of department stores, and to focus on providing the best customer service.
