New contract for Sunday Brunch

Channel 4 has announced a two-year contract extension for its weekly cookery show ‘Sunday Brunch’.

The series has been waking up the nation every Sunday since 2012 and is Channel 4’s highest rating daytime programme.

Hosted by Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer, the live show runs from 9.30am to 12.30pm delivering a mix of chefs, drinks experts, big names from the worlds of science and the arts, celebrity guests and music from international artists.

This year, the show enjoyed its highest ever overnight market share at 10.38%, up 29% on Channel 4’s slot average.

Dom Bird, head of formats at Channel 4 said: “’Sunday Brunch’ is a delicious mix of good food and great company, and I’m delighted that the team will continue to bring their warmth and wit to Sunday mornings on Channel 4.”

Emma Hardy, managing director at Princess Productions which produces the show, said: “We’re extremely proud of our long history of producing live TV and delighted that Channel 4 has extended ‘Sunday Brunch’ for a further two years.

“’Sunday Brunch’ continues to build as a brand, going from strength to strength. This is a testament to the brilliance of Tim and Simon and our hard-working production team”.

The new deal runs until February 10 2019.
