A new company, Sistema Plastics UK, has been formed to further develop in the UK the Klip It brand of New Zealand-made food storage solutions.
Sistema’s products are already established in the UK market, having been distributed by DNC UK since 1999.
However, Sistema managing director John Prest told HousewaresLive.net: “Having assessed the market, our ambitious product development programme, and with the Klip It brand growing strongly across a number of other markets around the world, the time was right for us to manage our own brand.”
The Klip It range consists of over 40 different stackable, space-saving containers, including standard rectangular boxes to a new range of containers specifically designed to store baking ingredients.
Prest, who has over 20 years’ experience in the housewares market, having previously worked for Cole and Mason and, most recently, as commercial director at DNC, added: “As the credit crunch continues to bite more and more consumers are storing leftovers and taking lunch to work, this a great product category to be in.”
In addition to the Klip It range, Sistema also offers sports bottles, insulated lunch bags and cool bags.
