Nespresso prepares to open four boutiques by December

Nespresso plans to open four Nespresso boutiques across the UK by December, with four more in the pipeline for key cities across the UK and Ireland for 2017.

The new boutiques will open in Bristol (The Mall, Cribbs Causeway), Leeds (Victoria Gate), Sheffield (Meadowhall) and London (Westfield Stratford City) between September and December.

The retail expansion is part of the brand’s vision to provide increased access to its premium portioned coffee in the UK, with the ambition of opening a boutique within one hour’s drive of every British customer

Nespresso UK & Ireland managing director Francisco Nogueira commented: “We’re thrilled to be expanding our retail offering. Over the past few years we’ve seen fantastic growth across the UK and we receive almost daily requests for more boutiques to open.

“Through these four new boutiques we will be able to reach many customers, particularly in new areas of the country such as Leeds and Bristol where we haven’t previously had a presence.

“Our growth in the UK over the past few years has been phenomenal. With four boutiques opening in 2015 and eight more planned, we are quickly developing our portfolio across the country.”

Francisco continued: “Our boutiques go beyond a traditional retail store, providing our customers with a unique opportunity to taste our Grands Crus and learn more about the coffees and their own preferences.

“Our focus as a business is about creating a complete experience for our customers. From the expertise they receive in our boutiques to our 24/7 customer care service, nothing is left to chance.

“These new boutiques have been especially developed to suit the desires of the modern coffee drinker, with tasting bars, coffee specialists on hand and the latest in retail technology to provide a smooth customer experience.”

The boutique expansion follows the launch of Café Nespresso at Cheapside in London in June. The first of its kind in the UK, this pilot café combines the Nespresso Grand Cru range with especially created food provided by Nespresso partner DO&CO.

Café Nespresso also features the UK’s first Nespresso Cube. This innovation, which has been successfully launched in seven other countries, is an automated self-service boutique, where customers buy the range of 24 Nespresso Grands Crus and Limited Edition coffees. A machine prepares personalised multi-product orders in minutes, thanks to a robotised order-picking system.
