National Cream Tea Day returns on Friday

After a successful first year, The Cream Tea Society is bringing back National Cream Tea Day on Friday (June 24).

The Cream Tea Society said: ‘Just after Royal Ascot and just before Wimbledon – National Cream Tea Day is a fixture of the season! So serve it on your best china, rally your friends round, lob them your prettiest tablecloth… and join us for a very happy National Cream Tea Day’.

The event’s partners, Cornish clotted cream supplier Rodda’s and Essex strawberry conserve maker Tiptree, want as many people around the country to celebrate this quintessentially British and tea occasion.

To recognise the role that cream teas can play in charity events up and down the country, both family businesses have pledged portions of their products to support the hosting of charity cream tea events.

Through the National Cream Tea Society, Rodda’s and Tiptree will be donating up to 2,000 portions of Cornish clotted cream tea and jam a month, to help charity event organisers on their way.

So if you or your customers are planning to serve cream teas to raise money for a charity, find out more at National Cream Tea Day
