Small kitchen appliance brand Morphy Richards has expanded its innovative collection of microwave cooking products, which is designed to revolutionise the way we use microwaves.
Using Advanced Heatwave Technology, the Mico Collection mimics conventional cooking to produce tasty, well-cooked food quickly, with no pre-heating required, and is suitable for a wide variety of food. Following the successful of the original products, Morphy has extended the range to include a Grill, Multi-Pot Cooker, and new-and-improved Toastie maker – offering more versatility than ever in microwave cooking.
All the new cookware has silicone lids or grips, which fasten together for use, and offers soft-touch handling. The range is dishwasher safe for easy and fast cleaning.
The Mico Grill features two non-stick grill plates suitable for a range of foods including fish fillets, chicken breast and vegetables – and can grill food on both sides at once, saving on time and washing up.
The Mico Multi-Pot offers two interchangeable pots for multi-use and maximum versatility, able to prepare an array of foods from jacket potatoes and poached eggs, through to burgers and vegetables in a fraction of the time. A jacket potato can be cooked – including the crispy skin usually only attainable by cooking for an hour in an oven – in just 13 minutes and burger can be cooked and browned from frozen in about a third of the normal oven time.
The Mico Toastie has been improved to include the staple Mico non-stick griddle plates for increased adaptability and is able to toast – and brown – sandwiches, as well bagels, croissants and more.
Annaliese Curtis, marketing manager at Morphy Richards, said: “Microwave food is loved for its convenience, but it can lack the flavour and freshness of food cooked conventionally – Mico is our answer to that. Mico’s innovative technology has now been applied to a wider range of products and we hope it will transform the way we use our microwaves even further.”
