As the downturn sees more people eating and entertaining at home, food garnishing is reportedly becoming increasingly popular.

A DVD called Learn to Garnish, which shows top food garnishing techniques, was originally produced for chefs and caterers who attend classes given by garnishing.co.uk.
However, it is now being made available to consumers by the website, which says garnishing is enjoying an upsurge amongst people who enjoy entertaining in style at home.
The DVD offers a step-by-step guide to turning fruits and vegetables into works of art. Garnishes shown include such achievements as courgette basket, cucumber spray, lemon basket, onion chrysanthemum, apple wings and leek lily.
