Mistral adds AdHoc Design to portfolio

Mistral Brands has become the new UK partner for AdHoc Design, a German-based company specialising in tea accessories, mills and barware.

The products join the existing portfolio of Danish and Swedish housewares lines distributed by Mistral, which was set up last year by Dexam’s former marketing director, John Bott.

Products in the company’s catalogue include the Flotea floating “tea egg” and the stylish Pepe chilli mill. The company was also the first to design and market the stainless steel electric mill, and remains the world leader in this sector. Amongst new lines launched at this year’s Ambiente show is the Pisa parmesan grater.

Bott told HousewaresLive.net that AdHoc’s products have been offered in the UK previously to a limited extent, but with no serious distribution via mainstream cookshops.

“This will be a great addition to our offering and perfectly complements our other brands,” he said. “I’ve known AdHoc for some time, and have seen their progress in other European markets. They’re totally focussed on product development and in bringing innovation and functionality to the market.”
