Grunwerg has linked up with Michel Roux Jr of top London restaurant Le Gavroche to launch a new collection of Global knives.
The new range, which was showcased at this week’s Exclusively Housewares show, is an extension of Grunwerg’s existing relationship with the Michelin-starred chef.
The company’s association with the Roux family goes back many years, and Grunwerg is sponsor of the prestigious cooking competition The Roux Scholarship.
Now, the collaboration between the two has resulted in the introduction of the Michel Roux Jr Collection of Global Knives. They are available as a three-piece starter set, six-piece intermediate set and a nine-piece professional set.
Also within the range, and designed on the popular ship shape block, are three blocks available in small, medium and large, to fit the sets. All blocks and knives carry Michel Roux Jr’s signature.
The sets are offered in stainless steel, black with a red signature and red with a black signature.
Each set comes with a signed taster spoon to accompany the Michel Roux Jr cookbook that is also available as part of the intermediate and professional sets.
There is also a knife skills DVD in the package so that the user can learn to cook under great tutors such as Albert Roux, Brian Turner and Andrew Fairlie.
