Housewares supplier Grunwerg is opening a new showroom in London which will be officially unveiled during the Exclusively Housewares show with a very special appearance from celebrity chef Michel Roux Jnr and his daughter Emily Roux.
Grunwerg will reside in suite 127 of the Business Design Centre in Islington – home of Exclusively Housewares, which takes place on Tuesday June 14 and Wednesday 15.
The company said the new space will not only show London businesses the Grunwerg offering, but will also give their London-based customers a more local showroom to visit.
It will be used to showcase Grunwerg’s most popular brands including Global Knives, Tojiro, Kasumi, Vektra, Rockingham forge, Café Ole and Café Stal. The supplier will also launch new products in its showroom, and on its stands 136 and 138.
David Grunwerg, director of Grunwerg, said: “We’re very excited to be opening a new London showroom and are delighted that Michel Roux Jnr and Emily Roux will be there to support it.
“This is a very exciting time for us, because not only are we celebrating our business growth with the new showroom, but we are also celebrating generations of great success and relationships within the industry.
“As many people will know, Grunwerg is now in its third generation, and we share this celebration with the Roux family because they also have a third generation joining their family of chefs, Emily Roux, who has followed in her father’s footsteps (Michel Roux Jnr), who followed in his father’s footsteps (Albert Roux), who, successfully has made great impact on the gastronomic landscape of the UK in the last 30 years.

The Roux family have, for over thirty years been very close with the Grunwerg family through their mutual love of Global Knives. This led to a signature set of Global knives being made for Michel Roux Jnr, who for many years has been the Global Knives UK Ambassador.
Grunwerg is also one of the main sponsors for the prestigious UK cooking competition, The Roux Scholarship which began in 1984 by the Roux family and supports young talented chefs build their careers in a very competitive industry.
