Mary Portas returns to Channel 4 on Thursday (June 23) to present another look at the British public’s shopping habits.
In episode 2 of ‘What Britain Buys’, which airs from 8pm-9pm, the retail consultant will discuss the growing popularity of contactless spending.
She will also meet retail buyers, trend forecasters, and customers to find out which products are most popular with Brits.
Channel 4 said: ‘Mary looks at the trend of using snail slime for facial care and face masks for the bottom.’ She also asks: ‘Why are more parents doing the school run in leggings?’ and finds out more about ‘car pool karaoke’.
Mary will soon be launching her own podcast series entitled ‘ShopTalk’ at www.maryportas.com, in which she chats to leaders in retail brands from fashion to food.
