Celebrity chef Marco Pierre White officially opened a new showroom for small appliances distributor EPE last week.
The 1,000sq ft showroom, which is above the company’s offices in Huddersfield, is three times bigger than the previous facility. And, financial director Harry Singh told HousewaresLive.net, it is designed to be super retailer-friendly.
“It’s laid out in a retail environment to assist merchandising,” he said, “and it’s got a live cooking station where you can actually try the products. A lot of distributors are just box shifters, so that’s very different in the market.”
The showroom opening day also saw EPE’s signing of the deal under which EPE will distribute Russell Hobbs and Tower branded products exclusively to independents. The agreement was signed by EPE managing director Noel Pamment and Russell Hobbs sales & marketing director Tim Wright.
