Sky Living has given the green-light to the new cookery show called ‘My Kitchen Rules’. Produced by Boundless, it is based on the smash-hit format from Australia’s Seven Network.

‘My Kitchen Rules’ will feature six couples representing England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales with a real flair for cooking who will compete against each other to find Britain and Ireland’s most exceptional home cooks. Over 10 weeks, their relationships, recipes, and cooking skills will be put to the test.

Sky Living director Antonia Hurford-Jones said: “‘My Kitchen Rules’ is the perfect entertainment show for Sky Living HD. We’re really excited about giving people who have a genuine passion for cooking an exclusive opportunity to showcase their skills in the kitchen with a competitive edge. ‘My Kitchen Rules’ is authentic, engaging and entertaining and I can’t wait for our customers to see it.”

Lorraine Pascale, who presented her first cookery show on BBC2 in 2011, will continue to work with the corporation. She said: “I’d like to thank Sky for giving me the opportunity to work on the UK version of this massively successful show.

“It’s an exciting new venture for me and I’m looking forward to stepping back from the oven for ‘My Kitchen Rules’ and judging other peoples’ efforts and tasting their meals instead!

“I’m truly delighted to be working with the world renowned chef Jason Atherton. He is a very talented and exciting chef, which makes him the perfect co-host and judging partner for the show.”

Jason Atherton added: “2013 I proving to be an exciting year for me and I’m really looking forward to working with Lorraine on ‘My Kitchen Rules’. I can’t wait to hit the road to meet some of our most accomplished home cooks.”

The series will air on Sky Living HD later this year.
