London department store Liberty returns to the small screen

Once again Liberty has opened its doors to Channel 4 to bring us a closer look at one of London’s oldest department stores.

London department store Liberty returns to the small screen

The four-part series ‘Liberty of London’ kicks off tomorrow (Wednesday November 12) at 9pm on Channel 4 and ends on Wednesday December. Filmed over six months and taking in major store events, the show follows new and long-standing members of the Liberty team as they work towards events such as the Best of British open call, Vogue’s Fashion Night Out and take on the day-to-day challenges that keep the store and website running.

In the first episode, nearly 900 designers speed-pitch their products to Liberty’s buyers and singer Pharrell Williams pays a visit, having launched his first fragrance with Liberty.

The ‘Liberty of London’ production company Rize would love to hear from anyone with a connection to the store. Whether you have a love for its products, have been a loyal customer for years, are a designer whose products are stocked in-store or an Arts and Crafts aficionado, Rize would like you to share your passion.

Rize said: “No story is too big or small, so get in touch to tell us about it. There may be a chance to retell your experience on camera.” If you have a tale you’d like to tell, please contact Hayley Cloke at hcloke@liberty.co.uk.
