Life & Style owner faces administration No 3

Life & Style, the homewares and fashion chain, is poised to go into administration.
Life & Style Retail Ltd was set up last year by Elaine McPherson to buy the business and assets of the failed 90-strong chain of Ethel Austin and Au Naturale stores, which she had headed up.

But it was not the first time that McPherson had acquired the stores. Prior to its collapse last February she had also bought Ethel Austin out of administration in May 2008.

Now, the company has filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators, at the High Court in Manchester, and has until June 13 to confirm the appointment. Two previous notices to appoint administrators were served in May but have expired.
