The judges were particularly complimentary about the company’s employees’ passion for their business.

The awards aim to showcase and recognise significant achievement by businesses in the region. The Employer of the Year accolade rewards companies that have demonstrated an engaging culture as well as an enlightened approach to staff development and wellbeing.

Le Creuset was recognised for its commitment to the local community with its ongoing support of Naomi House hospice and Harrow Way Community School, and for the fact that it has achieved significant business growth and development of individuals across the business.

The judges also considered entrants’ ability to nurture staff passion about the business through personal involvement.

About Le Creuset they said: “You can feel the passion as you walk in; we didn’t need to speak to the employees, we could see it.”

Le Creuset’s managing director, Nick Ryder, said: “This is a great boost for the team here at Le Creuset, and to be recognised in this way is a credit to everyone’s dedication and work ethic. We’re delighted!”
