Laura Ashley to close Homebase concessions in 2017

Home furnishings retailer Laura Ashley will cease to trade in its concessions within branches of the DIY chain Homebase in the second quarter of 2017.

The moves follows Homebase’s acquisition by Australian conglomerate Wesfarmers earlier this year.

In a statement, Laura Ashley said it does not expect there to be a material impact on the group and anticipates that the majority of trade that it receives from these concessions will be redirected to other Laura Ashley stores and the website operated by the group.
