Following on from the relaunch of its ecommerce website, Lakeland has now unveiled a new mobile version.
Ecommerce specialist Javelin Group, which created the first website, was hired again to develop the second, which is fully integrated into the base ecommerce platform, and so offers all the same functions.
These include the same search and browse, segmentations, promotions and product information and reviews capabilities. The site also means that consumers can use a shared basket across both mobile and desktop checkouts.
Using the same technology to drive both the desktop and mobile site allows fast and synchronised rollout of new function, products and marketing content across the two channels.
Lakeland marketing director, Tony Preedy, said the company was “extremely proud of our new mobile commerce website and the exceptional user experience it offers our customers”.
