The British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) will hold a members’ forum on Thursday September 26 at 10am. The venue is Federation House, 10 Vyse St in Birmingham.

Matthew will be sharing his views on the housewares market, and giving an update on the specialist chain’s store expansion plans and the the internet plays in an increasingly competitive market.

He will be joined by Victoria Redshaw and Phil Pond from Scarlet Opus. This company forecasts consumer, business and design trends relating to all home products, residential and commercial interiors, hotels and restaurants. Their client base includes Lakeland and Marks & Spencer.

In addition, Exclusively Housewaresshow director Simon Boyd will be providing a post-show review on the London exhibition that took place in June, and outlining some development plans for 2014 and 2015.

Finally, Sue O Neil and Guy Burtenshaw will talk about a ‘Garden and Home Press Event’ which is an opportunity for BHETA members to raise the profile of their company and products by networking with consumer and trade media.

William Jones, BHETA executive director – housewares, said: “Whether it’s driving members’ sales, opening up new markets or providing general advice, the BHETA formula is ensuring that it is now a key body, in both housewares and DIY.

“It’s brilliant that one of the results of this is that we can attract companies such as Lakeland to our events.”
