Kyocera Corporation of Japan has revealed that total shipments of its ceramic knives recently passed the 10 million unit mark.

Kyocera ships its 10 millionth knife

In 1984, Kyocera was one of the first companies in Japan to begin manufacturing and selling kitchen knives with blades made from fine ceramics.

Since then, the company – which is headquartered in Kyoto – has developed the range with various colours and styles and expanded its sales network around the world. Kyocera ceramic knives are distributed in the UK by Dexam International.
