KitchenAid chooses London for global store debut

KitchenAid will open its first official store worldwide in London in early September.

The small appliance manufacturer will open its inaugural ‘Experience Store’ in the heart of the capital’s West End on Wigmore Street.

Arranged over two floors, the store promises to be ‘the perfect environment to inspire kitchen designers, budding bakers and serious chefs alike’.

On display will be KitchenAid’s small appliances and the brand’s recently launched range of major appliances.

The space will include a demonstration kitchen as well as a cookery school, which will entertain a rolling schedule of events. Events and cooking classes will be presented by KitchenAid alongside a range of industry specialists and specially chosen guest speakers.

In addition to the demonstration kitchen, the store will house a training facility which will host product specialists from retailers nationwide.

A super-sized version of the Artisan Stand Mixer will feature in the window of the store and the full spectrum of colourways will be available to purchase.

KitchenAid said: ‘By bringing together the full range of KitchenAid small and large electrical appliances, along with a range of professional bakeware and accessories, and also offering unmatched expertise – all under one roof – the London Experience Store promises to be the ultimate destination for KitchenAid aficionados worldwide.’

To coincide with the store’s launch, and as part of KitchenAid’s ongoing commitment to its Serious About Food campaign, the company will also be announcing the names and presenting the new UK-based members to the Serious About Food Council in September.
