Small electricals supplier Kenwood is sponsoring the inaugural British Cookery School Awards. Launched this year, the awards are aimed at recognising the work and dedication of cookery schools in offering outstanding cookery course experiences.

Kenwood supports first ever British Cookery Schools Awards

Kenwood’s brand manager Penny Jones said: “We have been supporting cookery schools for a few years now, so it is a great opportunity for us.

“Helping people create fabulous food has always been one of Kenwood’s main goals, and we feel it is important that British cookery schools, which are passionate about food and helping consumers become great cooks, get the recognition they deserve.”

Not only are cookery schools encouraged to enter the awards, but the organisers are also calling all cookery school fans to nominate their favourite school.

The judges – which include BBC Radio 2 food and drink presenter Nigel Barden – will be looking for schools which go above and beyond to create a first class cooking experience.

To enter the award or nominate a school, email info@britishcookeryschoolawards.co.uk. Entries will close on August 31 2012.
