Small electricals supplier Kenwood is sponsoring the MasterChef Restaurant & Bar and MasterChef Street Food UK Road Show.
Both culinary events, which kicked off this summer to celebrate past and present MasterChef contestants, mark the 10th anniversary of the show.
The MasterChef Restaurant & Bar will be serving 12,500 customers over a five-week period from September 2 to October 5. The one-off open kitchen restaurant will be housed in London’s Blue Fin Building on the Southbank, with views over the Thames. Equipped with a selection of Kenwood products, it will allow diners to watch MasterChef contestants cook meals inspired by the dishes made on the series, and they will get the opportunity to meet the contestants afterwards.
Meanwhile, the MasterChef Street Food UK Roadshow is currently visiting cities including Birmingham and Bristol. Laden with a selection of Kenwood products, this mobile kitchen aims to serve up to 15,000 customers and will finish its tour at London’s Covent Garden, where a walk-up café will be located from August 19 to September 15.
Kenwood director of marketing Mark Swift said: “Kenwood aims to inspire consumers in the kitchen, encouraging them to create a wide variety of dishes, from
cakes to curries, using our innovative range of products.
“As the biggest food media brand in the world, MasterChef mirrors Kenwood’s inspirational thinking, motivating the public to experiment in the kitchen and encouraging a love for cooking. We are delighted to be the principal sponsor behind this project, which is set to be a culinary first, offering a new experience for food lovers all over the UK.”
