Keith Crowther, owner of La Cookshop at Blagdon in Northumberland, would like to thank everyone who supported his recent involvement in the Morrisons Great North Run.
He completed the event, which took place in Newcastle-upon-Tyne on September 13, in three hours. He was joined by in his endeavour by friend and fellow retailer Alan Robinson of the Corbridge Cookshop at Corbridge in Northumberland.
Keith ran on behalf of the Alzheimer’s Society, and as of today (November 3), his effort has raised a total of £ £2395.96
He said: “I’m obviously delighted at the total raised to help fight this disease.” Recalling the big day, he added: “Whilst it was brilliant to complete the race, when you’re passed by a seven foot pepperami, you realise your racing days are over!”
