Housewares Business-to-business magazine for housewares retailers and their suppliers
JVL Homeware Solutions has formed a new joint venture company with Origin Red to supply retail businesses worldwide with storage products, homewares, floorcoverings and giftware.
Origin Red was set up in Hong Kong and China in 1991 to provide an interface between Chinese manufacturers and overseas buyers. JVL, based in West Yorkshire, supplies mats, basketware, laundry and cleaning products and storageware.
The new business, Origin Red ICP, will supply products manufactured in its own factories in China and India, as well as partner factories across Asia, the
Middle East and Europe. It has customer service offices, design facilities and showrooms in the UK, India, Hong Kong and China.
Said JVL managing director Julian Pointon: “The new vertically-integrated venture will provide customers with a full range of supply options from design and development through to FOB, European domestic supply from our UK warehouse and direct home delivery to our customers’ consumers.
“JVL and Origin Red have a wealth of experience in terms of import/export, design, product and sourcing capabilities, together with quality control and technical expertise, covering a wide product range in the housewares sector from doormats, car mats, basketware, storage solutions, clothes care, cleaning products, giftware and many other categories.”
Jon Veitch has been appointed managing director of the new company.
