Joseph Joseph wins Chop2Pot infringement case

The company successfully enforced its intellectual property rights in the Chop2Pot design against 99p Stores Ltd.

Upon contacting 99p Stores, the chain agreed to remove all infringing products from sale, and a settlement was agreed between the parties to compensate Joseph Joseph for loss of profit and payment of legal fees.

The Chop2Pot folding chopping board was launched almost three years ago, and won Gift of the Year in the Cooking and Dining category in 2006.

99p Stores was set up in 2001 and aims to double its number of stores to 120 by next year.
