John Lewis opened its latest At Home shop last Thursday, in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, bringing the total tally to four.
Pupils from the local St Matthew’s High Brooms primary school joined branch manager Gabby Armstrong for the official ribbon cutting, before welcoming the shop’s first customers inside.
The new 40,000sq ft store, which focuses exclusively on homewares, furniture, furnishing accessories and electrical and home technology, employs a team of some 190 partners, who have received more than 30,000 hours of specialist training. The outlet has parking space for over 160 cars.
Exeter and Chester will be the next two locations for At Home stores, opening next year.
