John Lewis department stores has appointed Lesley Ballantyne as director, operational development.

John Lewis names new customer service chief

Ballantyne will be responsible for the retailer’s customer service and all aspects of operational support to its shops, reporting to board director responsible for retail operations, Andrew Murphy.

She will take up the position on April 26 from her current role as managing director of John Lewis Glasgow, which she has held since October 2006. She joined the Partnership in 1991 as a graduate trainee.
