John Lewis has once again been recognised as consumers’ number one high street retailer.
The company won the accolade on Tuesday in the Which? Awards 2009, which celebrate the best in consumer products and services in the UK.
The win builds on the previous success of the John Lewis Partnership, of which John Lewis and Waitrose are both a part. The two businesses have taken the top two spots in the related Which? Customer Satisfaction Survey for the last four years.
And earlier this year, a Verdict Research consumer poll named John Lewis as the nation’s favourite retailer for a second year running.
Commenting on John Lewis’ latest result, managing director Andy Street said: “At John Lewis we have kept our focus on delivering inspiring products, great value and differentiated service to our customers. Partners will be thrilled to receive an award for this commitment and hard work. As conditions remain challenging on the high street we will continue to strive to improve the customer experience.”
