John Lewis continues collaboration with Swoon

John Lewis & Partners and online interiors brand Swoon have announced the launch of their Autumn/Winter 2019 collection, continuing their design collaboration into the next season.

The 18-piece collection, available from the department store group from September 1, has been exclusively designed by Swoon’s in-house design studio and manufactured by John Lewis & Partners. It follows the success of their 24-piece Spring/Summer 2019 range.

The theme of the latest collection is ‘Art Deco-meets-contemporary aesthetic’. John Lewis said: ‘All pieces were inspired by the strong characteristics and detailing of the previous range, elevating each element to introduce newness but still keeping in line with Swoon’s signature style.

‘The collection is a celebration of strong linear detailing and subtle patterning, through the use of brass accents and textured timber for the storage pieces. As for the upholstery offering, Swoon has introduced a brand new Vienna lavender-grey velvet: a more neutral alternative best paired with accent brassy tones and deep oaks.’

Commenting on the collaboration, John Lewis living & dining assistant buyer Bella Hancock said: “The continuation of our collaboration with Swoon into AW19 is very exciting. From sleek wooden storage solutions to velvet upholstered seating, this collection is full of exceptional designs that we are looking forward to sharing with our customers.”

The John Lewis & Partners + Swoon AW19 collection will be available online at www.johnlewis.com from September 1 with pre-orders on some pieces live now. Eleven John Lewis branches (Birmingham, Cambridge, Kingston, Liverpool, Newcastle, Nottingham, London’s Oxford Street, Oxford, Peter Jones, Southampton, Welwyn) will feature complete Swoon room sets, with select pieces available across 48 John Lewis stores from September 1.
