Job losses pile up at Rosebys

Thirty-one more outlets in the Rosebys home textile chain – which went into administration at the end of last month – were closed last week.
The administrators, KPMG Restructuring, said that the closures had resulted in 186 people being made redundant.

The administrators have also closed Rosebys’ distribution centre in Selby, North Yorkshire, with the loss of 87 jobs.

Joint administrator Howard Smith said on Friday that the moves had been regrettable but added: “We anticipate further store closures next week, while we continue to have dialogue with a number of parties who are interested in either the whole or parts of the business.”
