Last month’s Interior Lifestyle China in Shanghai saw a 30% rise in trade visitors over the 2008 exhibition.

The event attracted 10,399 visitors in total, 9,165 of them trade, with top visiting regions including some of China’s wealthiest cities – Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong and Beijing.
The fair focuses on international lifestyle product brand names and designers from the world of high-end household and consumer goods, ranging from tableware and kitchenware to eco-friendly items. Over 60% of the 200 brands from 17 countries and regions were from overseas, with new exhibitors including Le Creuset.
The cookware supplier also won a Home Style Award for outstanding design, as did GreenPan.
Organiser Messe Frankfurt says that China’s expanding consumer purchasing power has created a marketplace rich with opportunity.
Next year’s exhibition will run in Shanghai from October 13 to 16.
