The chairman and chief executive officer of Groupe SEB has been named this year’s Lifetime Humanitarian by the US Housewares Charity Foundation.
Thierry de La Tour d’Artaise has been recognised for the numerous programmes he has championed through the Groupe SEB Foundation. With a five-year budget of 3m Euros, its aim is to fight against social exclusion by helping people return to employment, improving their living conditions at home and providing access to education and training.
The Housewares Charity Foundation will honour de La Tour d’Artaise at its annual gala on March 17 at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers in conjunction with the International Home + Housewares Show.
The Housewares Charity Foundation consists of a group of manufacturers, retailers and industry partners whose vision is to improve communities and lives around the world through philanthropic giving.
Groupe SEB’s brands include Tefal, Krups, Moulinex, Rowenta and Lagostina.
