Employees of Faversham House Group, publisher of, really joined in with the spirit of National Baking Week – and helped raise funds for a worthwhile cause in the process. says: 'Get baking!'

Staff from all of FHG’s websites, magazines and exhibitions took part in a baking bonanza last week, organised by sales executive Laurie Marrington.

The results were put before an exacting panel of judges, who had a hard job picking the winners. Eventually, though, they decided that Chris Carnevale should take first prize for his delicious white cup cakes, while Helen Simpson was a worthy second prize winner with her wonderful soda bread.

Money from sales added up to £117, a sum that was matched by FHG itself. The resulting £234 grand total will now go to Children in Need.
