HOUSE makes UK debut in Oxford

HOUSE will open its first store in the UK today (Monday April 16) at Westgate shopping centre in Oxford.

The retailer is offering a one-off discount offer today of 15% off all products (excluding electricals), to shoppers who register their details online.

A post on House’s Facebook page reads: ‘The HOUSE Team are super excited to be launching in the UK in April 2018. We are a true specialty homewares retailer carrying up to 4,000 items in-store and up to 10,000 items online, including cookware, glassware, kitchen gadgets, small electrical appliances, knives and linens.’

A second branch is planned to open on April 23 at The Lexicon at Bracknell in Berkshire, followed by a third branch at Meadowhall shopping centre in Sheffield on April 30.

Established in Australia in 1978, HOUSE bills itself as Australia’s largest specialty homewares retailer. It has ambitious plans to open 75 stores across the UK within three years, creating 1,000 jobs,

Along with sister retail chain Robins Kitchen in Australia, House is part of Global Retail Brands, which has more than 170 stores reaching across all states and territories. In addition to a physical presence Australia-wide, Global Retail Brands also operates the online ecommerce websites for HOUSE, Robins Kitchen, Pet House and Your Home Depot.
