During February and March, Home Hardware retailers collectively distributed over 1 million Spring DIY & Housewares brochures and leaflets.
Sales increased by a whopping 19% which equates to an increase of more than 5% on a like-for-like store basis.
This significant sales lift is attributed to a price aggressive ‘Save’ campaign which featured ‘big savings on big brands’ such as Brita, Horwood, Kitchen Craft, Morphy Richards, Russell Hobbs, Salter and Stellar.
Home Hardware marketing manager Beverley Wood said: “We are thrilled with both the increased print run and significant sales volumes. This confirms that our consumer promotions hit the mark in terms of attracting new and existing customers to our member stores. Our stock availability throughout this promotion was over 97%.
“Without doubt, this promotion significantly increased customer footfall and retail sales in what can be a quiet period prior to Easter. Home Hardware greatly appreciates the support of our suppliers who helped to make it so successful.”
