Vacu Vin has announced the winner of its Exclusively Housewares competition to find the fastest pineapple preparer in the housewares industry.

Home Hardware wins the pineapple prize

Lindsey Allix from Home Hardware South West took just 35 seconds to peel, core, slice and chop a whole pineapple on the stand, using the company’s new pineapple slicer. She wins a case of Vacu Vin products.

Competitors included retailers, journalists and television presenters – including show visitor Aggie MacKenzie of television’s How Clean is Your House? fame.

The pineapple slicer works like a corkscrew, removing the flesh in rings and leaving the core intact in the shell. The separate wedger can then be used to cut the flesh into bite size pieces.
