Home Hardware Southwest is latest charity Partner

Said chief executive Martin Elliott: “We’re delighted to become a formal partner of such an important industry charity. Home Hardware and its members have been supporting the Rainy Day Trust for many years.”

The trust – which exists to help those who have worked in the home enhancement industry but who have now fallen on hard times – said RDT Partnership showed that Home Hardware’s involvement in the industry extends beyond the purely commercial. “As a company it is taking a socially-responsible position as well, and can confirm that position to its staff, suppliers and over 400 member stores,” commented a spokesperson.

The trust also announced recently that Liberon, the specialist manufacturer of wood and stone finishing products for the home, is sponsoring the Rainy Day Trust for 2012.
