Home Hardware (Scotland) holds Members’ Open Day

Home Hardware (Scotland) held its annual Members’ Open Day on November 30 in North Ayrshire.

The event was well attended by members, buyers and management from Home Hardware Scotland, which is a buying and marketing group owned by its members.

There are more than 60 independent member shops throughout Scotland and the north of England. The retailers vary from hardware and housewares specialists to cookshops, ironmongers and garden centres.

The event began with a members’ meeting held at the Home Hardware showroom in Ardrossan, on the North Ayrshire coast in south-western Scotland.

After the meeting, members were invited to Wright’s Home Hardware at Largs in North Ayrshire, which is owned by managing director Jim Ferguson.

The Largs store opened in February and is the tenth branch in the Wright’s group. It was completely refurbished as a Home Hardware concept store and offers a diverse range of merchandise including housewares, furniture, textiles, wallpaper, heating, gardening, power tools and DIY, as well as traditional ironmongery products.

Dinner was held in a local hotel where members had a further opportunity to network and socialise.
