Home Hardware pays record amount back to members

Home Hardware Southwest has paid a record £87,000 back to its members relating to the trading year to June 2008.
Executive chairman John Fewings said that Home Hardware was “delighted to further reward our members for their loyalty and commitment.

“On-going investment is essential to produce the service levels that Home Hardware retailers need in a competitive trading climate. Independents pride themselves on service which can only be built on the firm foundations of having the customers’ requirements in stock when they want it.”

He added that many of Home Hardware Southwest’s members were doing very well as consumers appeared to be shopping more locally.

“Our optional marketing programmes are even more important at this time to give consumers a greater reason to buy,” he said.
