Home Hardware Christmas campaign achieves 20% lift

A record number of over 1,200,000 Christmas brochures and leaflets has been ordered by Home Hardware members – an increase of almost 20% on the previous year.

The rise is down to a combination of existing retailers increasing their distribution and new retailers trying the promotion for the first time.

The Christmas Sparkling Gifts campaign features tableware, gadgets, small electricals, cookware and party accessories along with games, remote control toys and hardware items.

All three previous Home Hardware consumer promotions also experienced significant increases in both print runs and sales. Home Hardware has now traded at record levels for six of eight months of this year.

Meanwhile, a draw held at Home Hardware Southwest’s Autumn Trade Show in Exeter earlier this month raised £400, to be split equally between housewares trade charity The Rainy Day Trust and Cancer Research. The £100 cash first prize was won by Darren Murley of Typhoon.
