Harvey Nichols picks Stewart containers for Jubilee

Around 5,000 1 litre containers produced by the Croydon-based company are being used as patriotic presentation boxes for six Charbonnel et Walker chocolate cornflake cakes. Part of the Stewart Refine range, they are clear with a white lid and are overprinted with messaging on both sides of the lid and the base.

The finished product is currently on sale in Harvey Nichols’ seven luxury stores nationwide – the flagship store in Knightsbridge, London, and in Bristol, Dublin, Manchester, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Leeds.

Stewart Home’s involvement with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee comes a year after the company supplied 55 Terrace Troughs from its garden range for the royal wedding route last April.

“We were recommended to Harvey Nichols as a British manufacturer with a strong national heritage, values that are well aligned with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee,” said Justin Mowle, business development manager with Stewart Home. “Naturally, we’re delighted that a Stewart Home product will once again feature prominently in such a major national celebration.”

Stewart is the UK market leader in the manufacture and supply of technical plastic moulded products for the home, garden and professional catering sectors. Its products range from food containers and specialist storage products to garden planters and propagators. The company employs 75 people in Croydon and had a turnover in 2010 of £13m.
