Grunwerg has signed up as sponsor of the Roux Scholarship – the premier competition for chefs in the UK – again in 2013 on the 30th anniversary of the competition.
Grunwerg’s new range of Global Sai knives was first shown to the Roux scholars on their trip to Japan earlier this year. Now, the company will be presenting them as exclusive and limited edition prizes for next year’s competition’s regional, national and overall finalists.
The 2001 winner of the Scholarship, Steve Drake, is one fan of Global knives, which he says he has been using “since I was first involved in the Roux Scholarship in 1999. They’re truly exceptional and market leaders”.
And Michel Roux Jr himself says he “loves the look and weight of the knife”.
