Grunwerg and Haus join forces for a day of racing

Housewares suppliers Grunwerg and Haus recently joined forces for a day of racing at the Daytona Milton Keynes outdoor karting centre.

The event was organised by The Catering Equipment Suppliers Association (CESA) which represents over 160 companies who supply commercial catering equipment, to bring suppliers together for a day of team-building and networking.

Grunwerg sales manager and national accounts manager Tom Basford and Chris Glover, and Haus managing director Paul Shelley teamed up with their customers Lockharts and Alliance to form ‘Grunwerg in the Haus’ for a head-to-head race against 15 other suppliers.

Grunwerg said: “There was a lot of energy and banter between the teams, so it doesn’t really matter that Grunwerg In The Haus came 13 out of 16! At least it was a day where figures didn’t matter so much…it was the taking part that counted!”

Tom Basford added: “We all had a great day. Having team-building events like this is a good way of building relationships with your customers as well as other members in CESA. From a member’s point of view, it was a success, and look forward to the next one.”
