Green calls off Bhs sale talks

Sir Philip Green has reportedly called off talks to sell Bhs.

Green had been in recent discussions with Royal Mail chairman Allan Leighton, who had shown an interest in buying the department store chain. Leighton is also chairman of Bhs. Green told the Sunday Telegraph yesterday that the talks had been “a little flirtation”. The business is understood to be no longer for sale.

Green is, however, seeking a new chief executive for Bhs.
