A new cookery series from celebrity chef and restaurateur Rick Stein starts later this month on BBC2.
In the 10-part ‘Long Weekend’ series, Rick will be taking viewers to some of his favourite European destinations for a culinary long weekend, including Bordeaux, Berlin, Reykjavik, Bologna and Vienna.
He will visit local markets, restaurants, wineries, cafes and bars in search of ‘food excellence and brilliant recipes’.
In episode one, due to be aired on Friday April 22 at 9pm, he enjoys an autumnal long weekend in his favourite French town of Bordeaux.
Five more programmes follow later in the year, accompanied by a book featuring all 10 cities.
